After 15 years of indulging in my quesadilla and Hubcap Margarita fix, I made my final visit to Nacho Mama's in Canton, Baltimore, as they prepare to close their doors in January 2025. This past Saturday was a bittersweet farewell for my group of 20, who had to wait about an hour for the 3 large tables in the back to open up--but it was definitely worth the wait. We ordered several Hubcap Margaritas to share, along with nachos and seafood quesadillas, all of which were delicious and packed with flavor. The atmosphere at Nacho Mama's is a perfect reflection of a true Baltimore dive bar, offering a lively, down-to-earth vibe that makes you feel like you're hanging out in your friend's basement with a drink in hand. Over the years, it has been a beloved spot for locals to gather, make memories, and enjoy good food and drinks. While we're sad to see it go, we'll certainly miss the warmth and charm it brought to Baltimore. Thank you, Nacho Mama's, for the great times and unforgettable memories!

Sad to hear this place close down. One of my favorite things on their menu is the birria quesadillas. Had to pay top dollar to taste it one last time. Worth every penny. First time trying the garlic buffalo wings. Pretty good. Tasted better when I air fried them. The chips and salsa smack. Addicting. Will miss the food here.

I stopped by the Canton location before they close permanently in mid-January. My friend grabbed two seats at the bar since the wait for a table was 30-40 minutes. Our bartender was friendly and accommodating--when I requested a drink that's not on the menu, she happily created a delicious bourbon and peach cocktail for me. I ordered the fried pickles, which were spears battered in a super crunchy coating. I also ordered the nachos with beef. Photos don't do the size justice. They're gigantic! I could only eat about a third before getting stuffed. They were topped with melted shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa, sour cream, beans and fresh jalapeños. However, they were a bit dry, and I wish there had been more salsa or the toppings were more evenly distributed. The space was decorated for the holidays, with lights hanging from the ceiling and walls, adding a festive touch.

Nacho Mama's is my go to for a quick pizza or even just some solid tex Mex tacos. Is it real authentic street tacos? No. Is it some fancy high end take on Mexican food? Absolutely not. But do they have some greasy, tasty birria tacos, take out pizza, and great happy hour specials? Yes, yes, and yes! It's not fancy, but the service is always good and the food always comes out hot and quick! My guilty pleasure is the Mexican pizza with chorizo and jalapenos. Surprisingly good! As far as ambiance goes, the place is Baltimore kitschy and I love it! If you are a lover of all things Baltimore, it is worth going in for the old sports memorabilia alone! Not to mention all of the Elvis stuff.

Nacho Mama's Canton is the epitome of Tex-Mex delight and more, earning its place as a household name in Baltimore. This cozy hot spot has become a local favorite, and it's easy to see why. Despite its size, Nacho Mama's packs a punch in both flavor and popularity. Walking into Nacho Mama's is like stepping into a Tex-Mex haven with a twist. The use of hubcaps as serving platters for their legendary nachos is a quirky touch that adds to the restaurant's charm. The abundance of Elvis pictures scattered throughout creates a fun and lively atmosphere that perfectly complements the bold flavors of the menu. One of the standout features of Nacho Mama's is the commitment to ensuring no one leaves hungry. The portions are nothing short of generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it an affordable indulgence for any occasion. Whether you're a fan of their inventive pizzas, meaty wings, or classic favorites, Nacho Mama's has something for everyone. The menu is a Tex-Mex treasure trove, offering a wide variety of mouthwatering options. From the iconic Chicken Nachos, featuring tortilla chips layered in beans, cheese, and jalapenos with salsa and sour cream, to the personal and sizable 12" or 16" pizzas, wings and tenders, and quesadillas, the choices are as diverse as they are delicious. My wife and I are particularly enamored with the hubcaps, a unique and enjoyable way to experience a healthy sized margarita. The cocktails are equally impressive, providing the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful feast. Beyond the delightful cuisine, the friendly staff contributes to the overall positive experience at Nacho Mama's. Their attentiveness and enthusiasm enhance the dining atmosphere, creating a sense of community that keeps patrons coming back for more.

This is a great restaurant and bar. Our server (Taylor) was exceptional. We spent several hours in the restaurant, celebrating a 30 year reunion. The drinks and food are very good. I recommend the crab nachos, they are unique and delicious.

I'd give this place about 7.5/10. Better than Towson as far as ambiance. There's the option to eat inside or outside but it is a little small The food we had was delicious and the hubcap was really good. The happy hour menu was lacking and also you couldn't order happy hour at the table only the bar. There is also a 3% service fee if you pay with anything other than cash. I'd definitely go back. Pictured is the hubcap and the chicken Chesapeake wrap.
